3 Free Mobile Apps That Will Help You To Wow Your Customers. Esther Nyaadie. Social Media Marketing in Ghana. Social Media Consultant in Ghana. Social Media Training in Ghana

“The secret to success is to treat all customers as if your world revolves around them.” – Anonymous

We can all agree that having loyal customers is very important for the overall health of your business. However in today’s noisy and crowded advertising space, it is easy for customers to switch to a competing product or service. One of the ways to keep your customers coming back to you is to treat them as if you were “courting them”. That is where continuously wowing them plays a part.

This week I share three mobile apps that can help you stay ahead of the competition and help you maintain customers for life.

Sometimes we plan to send an SMS or email out only to have our attention taken up by other tasks so we forget in the end.  Sometimes it is too early or too late in the day – as often happens when you suddenly remember to do something in the wee hours of the morning.

You can schedule SMS to your customers with the under listed free apps which offers convenience with their “set it and forget it” characteristics. These apps can save a lot of potential business opportunities and relationship drama that might pop up due to a missed message here and there.

 1. SMS Scheduler

SMS Scheduler is a simple tool for automatic SMS messages sending with chosen frequency. You can schedule messages to prospects and customers in advance. Main features:

  • recipients can be typed in directly or selected from contacts
  • multiple recipients can be chosen
  • flexible scheduling system – you can send SMS once, every 5 minutes, 15 minutes, every hour
  • sent SMS messages are added to the proper conversation threads
  • status bar notifications are triggered for sent messages and delivery reports history of sent and delivered messages is available

On the main screen you see information about scheduled SMS messages dispatches. Every entry specifies recipients, dispatch frequency and date and time of next SMS transmission. You can edit every entry just by clicking on it.

2.     Schedule SMS: Send it later

Every one of the messages that you send utilizing this application are saved as a part of your stock SMS application, so there is no compelling reason to stress over where to discover your messages.

3.     Text Later

Text Later runs on Android

4.     Advance SMS Scheduler

The Advanced SMS Scheduler guarantees it will never give you a chance to neglect to send messages to the right individuals at the correct time. On the off chance that a fabulous event is occurring around you, this is the application you should get installed on your gadget immediately. The application highlights different layouts for your messages, so your recipients don’t get bored seeing the same message design in each message they get on their device.

Supported OS:Android

5.     SMS Scheduler (Text Later)

The SMS Scheduler (Text Later) app has a very unique feature; which is the support for multiple languages. So English does not have to be your mother-tongue to be able to send a message; you can now use the language you speak to send your messages. The second most important feature of the app is it lets you backup and restore scheduled messages to your SD card. If you often switch smartphones, this app will make it easier for you to regain access to your scheduled messages.

Supported OS:Android

6.     AutoText

AutoText is the ultimate SMS scheduling app for iOS  and Android devices.

7.     Smart SMS TIMER

The SMS timer app works on iPhones

8.     SMS Timing

SMS Timing is works on iOS

Zapier is a tool that allows you to connect apps you use every day to automate tasks and save time. You can connect any of the 600+ integrated apps together to make your own automations. What’s more it’s quick and easy to set up – you don’t need to be a developer, anyone can make a Zap!

“It’s just you and your favorite web apps getting stuff done.”

Figure 1 – An example of how Zapier works. You could make a Zap that would automatically save responses from a Typeform form to a new row on a Google Sheet for you

Zapier combines Triggers (like “New Email”) and Actions (like “Create Contact”) to complete an action in one app when a trigger occurs in another app. Select a Trigger and Action from the lists to start creating a Zap!

For example:

When I get a new email in Gmail

Copy the attachment from Gmail to Dropbox

Alert me in Slack about the new Dropbox file

So how can it be used for customer service?

Zapier will help you to automate your customer support. This means that despite the ton of messages you receive the stress will be cut down and your support messages will be answered faster.

Figure 2-With Zapier, you no longer have to waste your time doing repetitive tasks. Zapier is there, doing those tasks in the background for you so you can do more important work.

You can dive a lot deeper into Zapier and create Zaps that are custom made for your business and the tools you use. I recommend you play around with Zapier’s free plan, see what triggers and actions are available for the apps you use, and work out where they could help your business

As we enter the Christmas season, consider incorporating these applications and a little extra effort into your holiday communications.  With these extras your business can soon be reaping the benefits of top-notch customer service.
Have you tried any of the tools mentioned above?
